Canaan, New Hampshire
We grow 100% organic vegetables, herbs, and seasonal specialties on 40 acres of pristine Canaan land — no shortcuts, no chemicals, just honest soil and patient hands.
Our Story
Barking Dog Organic Farm began with a simple conviction: that the best food comes from soil that's treated with respect. Nestled along Bear Pond Road in Canaan's quiet hills, our 40 acres have been in our family for generations — and we've farmed them organically since day one.
Every seed we plant is non-GMO, every bed we turn is worked by hand, and every harvest is a testament to patience. We don't rush the seasons. We don't cut corners. What you get at our farmstand is food the way it was meant to be — grown in living soil, harvested at peak ripeness, and brought to your table with pride.
Whether you're a longtime neighbor or discovering us for the first time, we invite you to taste the difference that real farming makes.
From the Farm
Our harvest changes with the months — that's the beauty of real farming. Here's what you'll find at the stand throughout the growing season.
Heirloom tomatoes, crisp lettuces, root vegetables, sweet corn, and more — all grown in living soil and harvested at the peak of flavor.
Basil, cilantro, mint, parsley, and a rotating selection of salad greens — fragrant, vibrant, and picked the same day you buy them.
Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and apple varieties from our orchard — sweet, sun-warmed, and picked just for you.
Our hens roam free on open pasture, foraging on bugs and greens. The result? Rich, golden yolks and eggs with unmatched flavor.
Wildflower honey from our own hives, plus house-made jams and shrubs crafted from our harvest — small batches, big flavor.
From squash in autumn to berries in summer — check our stand for what's fresh this week. Every item is grown right here on the farm.
